Moldova PM seeks state of emergency to contain coronavirus spread

KIEV, March 17 (Reuters) - Moldova’s Prime Minister Ion Chicu asked the parliament on Tuesday to impose state of emergency across the country in a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Moldova, a nation of 3.5 million, has reported 29 confirmed coronavirus cases with no deaths recorded as of March 17.
