Nigeria's central bank to create health fund in coronavirus package -governor

ABUJA, March 16 (Reuters) - Nigeria’s central bank on Monday said it would create a 50 billion naira ($163 million) fund to help combat the impact of the coronavirus outbreak on Africa’s biggest economy and would allow lenders to restructure loans.

Godwin Emefiele announced the support package, which includes reduced interest rates on “central bank intervention facilities”, at a press conference in the capital, Abuja.
