White House adviser says another COVID lockdown would be a big mistake

WASHINGTON, July 8 (Reuters) - Another nationwide shutdown to fight the novel coronavirus pandemic would be “a big mistake,” White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow told CNBC in an interview on Wednesday as some states rolled back their re-openings amid a surge in cases.

Kudlow later told reporters that there may be some spots of economic impact as states impose more measures aimed at mitigating the outbreak, but added that he has seen no evidence of a double-dip recession. (Reporting by Susan Heavey Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
