MADRID, March 11 (Reuters) - Seat, the Spanish unit of German carmaker Volkswagen’s, is considering temporary layoffs at its Barcelona-area plant as the coronavirus spreads globally, a company spokesman told Reuters on Wednesday.

The company is facing potential supply chain issues due to the outbreak, he added.

The company spokesman declined to comment on the duration of the possible temporary layoffs. (Reporting by Joan Faus, Editing by Inti Landauro)
