Indian oil workers strike called off - official

NEW DELHI, Aug 21 (Reuters) - A strike by up to 45,000 workers at state-run Indian oil firms has been called off, Ashok Singh, convener of the Oil Sector Officers’ Association, an umbrella union for industry employees, said on Tuesday.

The stoppage was announced on Monday, and there were fears it could hit production at leading refiners.
