Indian shares up 0.5 pct; outsourcers lead

MUMBAI, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Indian shares rose 0.5 percent in early trade on Monday, with outsourcers leading the rise, taking cues from firm Asian peers.

At 9:17 a.m. (0347 GMT), the 30-share BSE index .BSESN was up 0.49 percent at 18,096.47 points, with 21 components advancing.

The 50-share NSE index .NSEI was up 0.4 percent at 5,417.50. (Reporting by Ami Shah)
