Indian shares end down 1 pct, snap four-day winning streak

Aug 29 (Reuters) - Indian shares declined more than 1 percent on Tuesday, snapping four consecutive sessions of gains, as escalating worries around North Korea added to the volatility ahead of local derivatives contracts expiry this week.

Both indexes had marked their biggest intraday percentage fall in nearly nine months during the session.

The broader NSE index closed 1.2 percent lower at 9,796.05, while the benchmark BSE index ended down 1.14 percent at 31,388.39.
