Aug 31 (Reuters) - Indian shares ended higher on Thursday, pulling back from losses earlier in the session, as investors awaited GDP data for the April-June quarter due later in the evening.
The benchmark BSE index ended 0.27 percent higher at 31,730.49. The broader NSE index rose 0.34 percent to 9917.90.
The BSE index lost 2.41 percent for the month while the NSE index fell 1.58 percent.
