Indonesia's motorcycle sales in May rise 10.9 pct y/y

    JAKARTA, June 11 (Reuters) - Indonesia's motorcycle sales
rose 10.9 percent in May from a year earlier, industry
association figures showed on Monday.
    Sales reached 589,304 units in May, up from 531,496 units in
the same period a year ago, and 1.4 percent higher than the
580,921 bikes sold in April.
    Motorbikes are hugely popular in Indonesia, Southeast Asia's
biggest economy, and their sales are a key indicator of
consumption demand.
    Honda Motor Co Ltd, Yamaha Motor Co Ltd
and Suzuki led the sales in May, data showed.
    Sales volume based on data from industry association, AISI,
is as follows:
