Nauphal is being promoted from deputy chief executive, but will retain his position as chief investment officer, Insight said.

The appointments take effect from July 1, the company said.

Ferrans said he would continue to be closely involved in the business, which has doubled assets under management since being launched in 2002 and which attracted over 23 billion pounds in new fund flows in 2006.
