Sept 15 (Reuters) - Judy Shelton, U.S. President Donald Trump’s controversial pick to serve on the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate-setting panel, does not have the votes to win confirmation in the U.S. Senate, according to a tweet from a Bloomberg News reporter citing Republican Senator John Thune.

The Senate Banking Committee in July narrowly approved advancing her nomination to consideration by the full Senate. (Reporting by Ann Saphir Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
