POLITICS

Italian Economy Minister Roberto Gualtieri said on Wednesday euro zone countries would probably sign off on a reform of the region’s bailout fund in February, rather than next month as previously planned.

DEBT

Treasury sells 1.75-2.25 billion euros of BTP bonds due Feb. 1, 2025; 2.25-2.75 billion euros of BTP bonds due April 1, 2030; 500-750 million euros of CCTeu bonds due Jan. 15, 2025. Subscriptions close at 1000 GMT.

TELECOM ITALIA

A regional court on Wednesday ruled in favour of a request by Telecom Italia, Vodafone and Iliad to challenge the Italian industry ministry’s decision to extend the use of 3.4-3.6 GHz frequencies granted to Tiscali’s Aria unit, Go Internet, Linkem and Mandarin.

INTESA SANPAOLO

The Italian bank sold its first sustainability bond on Wednesday for 750 million euros, drawing orders for more than 3.5 billion euros, and said it would use proceeds to finance circular economy initiatives.

ENEL

Italy’s biggest utility said on Wednesday it had received a triple A rating for the first time from leading sustainability index provider MSCI ESG Research.

Discussions between the group and the government on possible revisions to Atlantia’s motorway concession are ongoing, the CEO of toll-road unit Autostrade per l’Italia unit told La Stampa when asked if Autostrade is open to downsizing or revising the concession.

The completion of a capital increase which is part of an industry rescue of the troubled Italian lender could be delayed to mid-January, prompting the ECB to extend the mandate of Carige’s temporary administrators beyond Dec. 31, Il Sole 24 Ore reported.

CASTA DIVA

The Italian group said its Blue Note Milano jazz club had reached an accord with the historic Don Lisander restaurant to jointly purchase food and beverage supplies and expected savings to boost its group EBITDA by up to 100,000 euros a year.

ELES SEMICONDUCTOR

The integrated circuit test systems maker on Wednesday forecast revenues would rise on average by 35% a year in 2019-2022 to 24 million euros under a new business plan.

Rome, Leonardo holds annual forum on “Tech in Italy: innovation, competitiveness, growth” with CEO Alessandro Profumo, Industry Minister Stefano Patuanelli (1000 GMT).

Milan, Italian luxury goods companies association Altagamma presents its 2019 industry report (0930 GMT).
