Italian Stocks - Factors to watch on Jan 28

 MILAN, Jan 28 (Reuters) - The following factors could affect Italian markets on Thursday.

 Italian government plans car incentives of 700 to 800 euros a vehicle, about half last year’s 1,500 euro figure, and would grant this aid for only six months, Corriere della Sera said in an unsourced report
 Eastern Europe’s biggest lender expects non-performing loans there to peak in 2010, Deputy Chief Executive Sergio Ermotti told Reuters. [ID:nWLB6129]
 Fabrizio Palenzona, head of Italian motorway association Aiscat, said on Wednesday he thinks the idea of a merger between Atlantia and Spanish motorway group Abertis ABE.MI is still valid, but added he was not aware of any talks under way.
 Talks have stalled between Italy’s Finmeccanica SIFI.MI unit Alenia and the United Arab Emirates over a 1-billion euros contract for M-346 military training aircraft, industry publication Defense News said on Wednesday. [nLDE60Q2QE]
