Kazakhstan mulls imports ban, more exports amid gasoline oversupply

MOSCOW, March 25 (Reuters) - Kazakhstan’s Energy Ministry has proposed banning imports of gasoline from Russia for three months and allowing previously banned truck exports in order to ease domestic oversupply caused by the coronavirus emergency.

The ministry published two draft documents for public discussion on Wednesday which it said could be enacted next month. Kazakh refineries increased gasoline output to 4.6 million tonnes last year from 3.9 million tonnes a year earlier.
