LONDON, Oct 23 (Reuters) - The British authorities are unlikely to decide next week whether or not Lloyds (LLOY.L) can exit the government’s asset protection scheme, a government source told Reuters on Friday.
“It’s unlikely that a final decision will be made in the coming week,” the source said, on condition of anonymity.
Britain’s largest retail bank, 43 percent owned by the government, is hoping for a decision early next week that could allow it to go ahead with a rights issue in December, sources told Reuters earlier. [ID:nLN327467]
