NEW YORK, April 1 (Reuters) - StatoilHydro’s STL.OL Arctic Princess liquefied natural gas tanker is expected to arrive at the Cove Point terminal in Maryland on April 12, according to AISLive ship tracking data on Reuters.
The 147,200-cubic-meter tanker left the Snohvit LNG plant in Norway on Wednesday, according to the data.
StatoilHydro has the capacity to import 1 billion cubic meters (bcm) of LNG to the U.S. terminal, alongside Alergia’s Sonatrach, which has the right to import 2 bcm per year.
According to Waterborne Energy consultants’ figures, Cove Point, whose import capacity has recently increased, received one cargo in March from Norway and is set to receive four cargoes in April — two from Norway and two from Algeria. (Reporting by Edward McAllister; Editing by Lisa Shumaker)
