LONDON, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Investment bank Citi said on Tuesday it had hired Anita McBain from M&G Investments to head up its environmental, social and governance-related research in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
McBain, who was previously Head of Responsible Investment and ESG at UK asset manager M&G, is set to join on Sept. 21, Citi said in a statement.
“Anita will significantly strengthen our ESG research presence,” Andrew Pitt, Global Head of Citi Research and Global Insights, said.
At M&G, McBain led the integration of ESG into the firm’s internal and external investment process and engaged clients and companies on climate change and other sustainability themes, it said. (Reporting by Simon Jessop; editing by David Evans)
