LONDON, Aug 18 (Reuters) - ING has appointed Clarence Plummer to a newly-created role of Europe head of syndicated finance, based in London.
Plummer was previously managing director, regional head of Americas syndicated finance group at ING.
Plummer started his career at Bankers Trust in 1984 before joining ING in 1993 to establish the loan syndication group for ING Americas. He then joined Merrill Lynch in 1996 where he was latterly a director in the global loan syndications, sales & trading group before rejoining ING in 2003.
His new appointment is part of a wider review that will see global head of syndicated finance Ed Brown relocate to New York.
Leveraged finance managing director Eva Smolen will relocate to Frankfurt as head of corporate and financial institutions lending (CFIL) Germany & Austria.
