MTN half-year earnings fall over 9%

JOHANNESBURG, Aug 8 (Reuters) - MTN Group Ltd, Africa’s largest mobile network by subscribers, said on Thursday its headline earnings per share (HEPS) for the six months to June 30 fell by 9.3% from a year earlier.

HEPS, the main profit measure in South Africa, stood at 195 cents ($0.1301), compared to 215 cents in June 2018. ($1 = 14.9828 rand) (Reporting by Emma Rumney; Editing by Subhranshu Sahu)
