WELLINGTON, Sept 4 (Reuters) - New Zealand house prices rose an annual 2.3% in August, government valuer Quotable Value (QV) said on Wednesday.
* Pace increased from 2.2% annual growth in July
* Average property value fell 0.5% in the Auckland region over last quarter
* Growth continues in regional towns and cities where affordability is less of an issue
