Norway's Nyhamna gas plant to cut output by 7 mcm due water leak

OSLO, Oct 18 (Reuters) - A water leak at Norway’s largest gas processing plant Nyhamna is affecting one of the facility’s compressors and will impact gas production on Thursday by 7 million cubic metres (mcm) per day, the country’s gas system operator Gassco told Reuters.

“The impact on production will be 7 mcm for today. If it is prolonged it will affect tomorrow’s availability as well... Hopefully it will be fixed by this evening,” an operator at Gassco’s control room said. (Reporting by Lefteris Karagiannopoulos, editing by Terje Solsvik)
