OMV plans to start Iran Mehr oilfield in 2010

ABU DHABI, May 13 (Reuters) - Austrian oil and gas group OMV (OMVV.VI) plans to start output from Iran’s Mehr oilfield in 2010, a company executive said on Sunday.

OMV aims to start developing the field later this year and will spend several hundred million dollars on the project, OMV board member Helmut Langanger said at a press conference.

The company is targeting oil output of 40,000 barrels per day from the field, he added.
