LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Kate Mara and Clark Gregg have joined Marvel’s “Iron Man 2,” being directed by Jon Favreau.
The details of Mara’s role are being kept under wraps. Gregg is returning as Agent Phil Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Gregg, who stars opposite Julia Louis-Dreyfus on “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” next appears on the big screen in “(500) Days of Summer.” He directed and co-wrote last year’s “Choke.”
Mara has joined Michael C. Hall, Sarah Silverman and Rainn Wilson in the indie ensemble comedy “Peep World.” She also booked a recurring stint on HBO’s “Entourage,” where she plays a potential love interest to Kevin Connolly’s character.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Edward Herrmann and Tyler Spindel will co-star in “Born to Be a Star” opposite Christina Ricci and Nick Swardson.
The Sony Pictures comedy, about a small-town Midwestern nerd who discovers his parents were famous porn stars, was co-written by Adam Sandler, who is producing with Jack Giarraputo. Tom Brady (“The Hot Chick”) will direct.
Herrmann will play Swardson’s now-straitlaced father. Spindel, Sandler’s nephew, will play the assistant of a washed-up adult-film director trying to squirm his way back into the industry.
Herrmann starred on “Gilmore Girls” and recently appeared on NBC’s “30 Rock.” His feature credits include “The Aviator,” and he next appears in the comedy “Son of Mourning.”
Spindel appeared in “Paul Blart: Mall Cop” and “The House Bunny.”
