Brazil Petrobras buys Okinawa refinery-source

RIO DE JANEIRO, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Brazil’s state oil company Petrobras (PETR4.SA)(PBR.N) has agreed to buy control of a 100,000 barrels per day refinery on the Japanese island of Okinawa, a source close to the deal told Reuters on Friday.

The source would not disclose the value of the deal or any other details. Industry sources have long speculated that Petrobras was about to take a majority stake in the Nishihara refinery from Exxon Mobil group (XOM.N) to tap the fast-growing Asian market.
