REFILE- Petropavlovsk lifts 2018 gold production guidance

(Fixes date)

Sept 27 (Reuters) - Russian-focused gold miner Petropavlovsk swung to a net loss of $24.8 million in the first-half on rising costs and lower sales, but lifted its production guidance for the full year.

Petropavlovsk said on Thursday it now expects to produce 420,000 - 450,000 ounces in 2018 and pick up production next year to 500,000 ounces as its key project to allow the treatment of refractory gold ore will add to the production. In had previously said it expected full year production to be within a range of 400,000-410,000 ounces.
