Strike halts gold production at Randgold's Ivory Coast mine

ABIDJAN, July 16 (Reuters) - Gold production at Randgold Resources’ Tongon mine in Ivory Coast was stopped on Monday due to a strike launched by workers over the weekend, the company’s country manager said.

“For the moment, gold production at the mine is stopped. We are in the middle of a crisis meeting to find a solution to the strike,” Bodiel N’Diaye told Reuters. (Reporting By Loucoumane Coulibaly; Writing by Aaron Ross Editing by Tim Cocks)
