Russia's NLMK says Q1 steel output up 3 pct y/y

MOSCOW, April 13 (Reuters) - Russia’s largest steel producer NLMK said on Friday its first-quarter output rose 3 percent year-on-year to 4.33 million tonnes.

The steelmaker, controlled by Russian billionaire Vladimir Lisin, also said its first-quarter group sales grew by 13 percent year-on-year to 4.15 million tonnes due to higher demand in Russia and the European Union.
