MOSCOW, Jan 18 (Reuters) - Russia’s United Company RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminium producer, said on Sunday it had appointed billionaire Oleg Deripaska as its new chief executive.
Deripaska replaces Alexander Bulygin as CEO. He was already the CEO of RUSAL for a three year period after the company was founded in 2000.
“I am confident that Alexander’s experience in consolidating assets and executing large deals will be applied in full in his new role,” a RUSAL statement quoted Deripaska as saying about Bulygin who will chair the board of EN+ Group, RUSAL’s main shareholder.
