RWE freezes plans for large Tilbury gas plant in Britain

LONDON, Nov 5 (Reuters) - German utility RWE has frozen development of its Tilbury Energy Centre in Britain which included plans for a 2.5 gigawatt gas plant, it said on Monday.

“This decision was made based on current market conditions and project costs. As with any development project, options are continuously evaluated and only progressed if they become economically viable,” the company said in a statement on its website.
