BRIEF-Soccer-Lokomotiv Plovdiv sack coach after 5-0 thrashing

SOFIA, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Bulgarian first division club Lokomotiv Plovdiv dismissed coach Ayan Sadukov after the team suffered a 5-0 home defeat in their opening match of the season against CSKA Sofia, the club said on Wednesday.

Lokomotiv, Bulgarian champions in 2004, lost on Sunday despite playing against 10 men for more than 20 minutes.

Former Bulgaria international Sadukov will be replaced by Ivan Marinov, who signed a one-year contract.

Sadukov became the second coaching casualty in Bulgarian top division this season after Lokomtiv Mezdra sacked Georgi Todorov only few days before the start of the championship following poor run in the pre-season friendlies.
