TALLINN, July 17 (Reuters) - Estonia named Dane Viggo Jensen as the new coach of its national side on Tuesday.
Jensen, who has initially only signed a six-month contract, takes over from Dutchman Jelle Goes who announced he would not renew his contract after Estonia lost their seventh straight Euro qualifier to England at the beginning of June.
Jensen has previously coached Silkeborg, Esbjerg, OB Odense, Viborg, Malmo, Svendborg and Ullerslev. He was also assistant coach when Denmark won the European championship in 1992.
Estonia have lost all seven qualifiers they have played so far in Group E with a goal tally of 0-14.
Their first match under Jensen will be against Andorra on August 22 when something will have to give.
Andorra have also lost all seven of their qualifiers but have at least scored a goal — although they have also conceded 28.
