BERLIN, May 12 (Reuters) - Former European champions Hamburg SV were relegated for the first time on Saturday, ending their record uninterrupted run in the top division since the Bundesliga’s creation in 1963.
Unlike Bayern Munich who won promotion in 1965, Hamburg, the six-time German champions, were one of the initial Bundesliga teams 55 years ago.
