The New England Revolution signed Argentine forward Guillermo Hauche, the team announced on Thursday.
The 25-year-old Hauche has spent his entire career in South America. He impressed the Revolution while recently training with the club.
“Guillermo is a very technical player who provides us with another attacking option heading into the final stretch of the season,” Revolution general manager Michael Burns said in a statement. “He trained with the first team during this past week and we were impressed with his skill-set. We’re looking forward to integrating him into the team on a full-time basis.”
Hauche has played for teams in Argentina and Chile during his career.
New England (8-10-9, 33 points) is in eighth place in the Eastern Conference, three points behind the sixth-place Montreal Impact, who currently own the final playoff position.
The Revolution visit Los Angeles FC on Saturday.
