The Philadelphia Union announced Thursday that they have picked up the 2019 contract option of midfielder Haris Medunjanin.
Medunjanin, 33, has one goal and one assist in 14 games this season.
The Bosnian had two goals and 12 assists while playing all 34 games in 2017 in his first season with the Union.
“Haris Medunjanin is an integral part of our team, both on the field and in the locker room,” Philadelphia sporting director Earnie Stewart in a club release. “His technical ability and vision on the ball are among the finest in MLS, and the importance of his veteran presence in assisting our young players cannot be understated.”
Medunjanin earned 60 caps for the Bosnia and Herzegovina before retiring from international play earlier this season.
