Toronto's Altidore out 4-6 weeks after foot surgery

Toronto FC forward Jozy Altidore is expected to miss four to six weeks after undergoing surgery Tuesday to remove bone fragments from his foot.

Altidore had the operation in New York, according to a team release.

Altidore has two goals in three MLS matches for Toronto this season, adding three more goals and two assists in eight CONCACAF Champions League appearances.

Altidore scored his 50th overall goal with Toronto against Real Salt Lake on March 30. The 28-year-old has 55 regular-season goals across his seven-year MLS career.

Toronto (2-4-1) hosts the Seattle Sounders (1-4-2) on Wednesday.
