Acquisitions boost Steinhoff's nine-month sales by 48 pct

JOHANNESBURG, Aug 31 (Reuters) - Steinhoff, the world’s second-biggest furniture retailer after IKEA, reported a 48 percent jump nine-month sales on Thursday, thanks to a series of acquisitions.

The South African-based company has its primary share listing in Frankfurt and a secondary listing in Johannesburg , said sales totalled 14.9 billion euros ($17.69 billion)in the nine months ended June. ($1 = 0.8423 euros) (Reporting by Tiisetso Motsoeneng; Editing by Greg Mahlich)
