HOUSTON, Sept 3 (Reuters) - Colonial Pipeline expects on Monday to reopen a segment of its system to transport distillates from Houston to Hebert, Texas, the company said in a statement on Sunday.

The company, which postponed the restart date for the transportation system closed due to Hurricane Harvey, also said the line would be ready to move gasoline on Tuesday.

Colonial Pipeline’s 5,500-mile pipeline system begins in Houston and ends in Linden, New Jersey, serving seven airports and other facilities. It also has 15 storage locations to serve customers, and connects to more than 260 terminals. (Reporting by Devika Krishna Kumar; Writing by Marianna Parraga; Editing by Lisa Von Ahn)
