Suez Environnement to join CAC-40

PARIS, Aug 28 (Reuters) - Suez Environnement (SEVI.PA), the French water and waste business spun off by Suez as part of its merger with Gaz de France GSZ.PA, will enter the CAC-40 blue-chip index on Sept. 22, NYSE Euronext said on Thursday.

The move will restore the index, which currently comprises 39 instead of 40 firms, to a full complement of 40 of the biggest Paris-listed companies.

Suez Environnement and property group Icade (ICAD.PA) will both join the SBF-120 index on the same date. (Reporting by Jean-Michel Belot and Tim Hepher)
