Turkish banks' Jan-July net profit up 27.5 pct at 29.05 bln lira -regulator

Sept 6 (Reuters) - Net profit at Turkish banks rose 27.5 percent in January-July from the same period a year earlier, data from Turkey’s BDDK banking regulator showed on Wednesday.

Turkey’s lenders, which include Isbank, Garanti and Akbank, posted combined net profit of 29.05 billion lira ($8.44 billion), the data showed, compared with 22.78 billion lira a year earlier. ($1 = 3.4439 liras) (Reporting by Ebru Tuncay; Writing by Ezgi Erkoyun; Editing by David Dolan)
