ALGIERS (Reuters) - Algeria’s former Trade Minister Amara Benyounes appeared before the supreme court on Thursday over alleged corruption, state television said.

His appearance is part of a series of anti-graft investigations since mass protests erupted earlier this year demanding the departure of the ruling elite and the prosecution of people demonstrators regarded as corrupt.
