Armenian opposition says talks with ruling party cancelled

YEREVAN (Reuters) - Talks between Armenia’s ruling Republican party and the opposition planned for Wednesday have been cancelled, opposition spokesman Tigran Avinyan said.

Talks were planned after the resignation of Prime Minister Serzh Sarksyan on Monday following almost two weeks of street protests that plunged the impoverished ex-Soviet republic into political crisis.
