Britain appoints BNP, JP, Lloyds and Nomura as bookrunners for 2071 gilt

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain on Friday appointed BNP Paribas, J.P. Morgan, Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets and Nomura to be joint bookrunners for the forthcoming re-opening of a gilt maturing in 2071.

The programme is planned to raise a minimum of 19.6 billion pounds via four transactions, two each of long conventional and index-linked gilts. Sales to-date are 10.7 billion pounds.
