LONDON (Reuters) - American singer-songwriter Katy Perry claimed her first British number one single on Sunday with her bi-curious record “I Kissed a Girl”.

Perry, 23, had served notice of her intent last week when “I Kissed a Girl” rose from 135 places to number four and Sunday’s success ensured Kid Rock’s “All Summer Long” enjoyed just a one- week stay at number one, said the Official UK Charts Company.

With Kid Rock down to two, “Dance Wiv Me” by rapper Dizzee Rascal fell one to three, with Script’s “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” another faller, slipping one to four.

“Love is Noise” by British band the Verve, who reunited last year, was the only new entry in the top 10, coming in at five.

In the album charts, Swedish supergroup ABBA held on to the number one spot for a second week with “Gold -- Greatest Hits”.

First released in 1992, the compilation has previously topped the charts on four separate occasions, but last week’s success was the first time an album had taken the number one spot after such a long interval.

With worldwide sales topping 26 million, “Gold” is one of the top 40 best selling albums of all time, while ABBA’s legacy of hits has racked up worldwide album sales of more than 350 million, with the group still selling 3 million albums annually.

With no new entries in the top 10, Welsh singer Duffy and “Rockferry” rose one to two, while “Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends” by Coldplay fell one to three, with Kid Rock’s album “Rock N Roll Jesus” a non-mover at four.
