EDF Energy raises British power prices for second time since April

LONDON (Reuters) - EDF Energy said on Thursday it would raise gas and electricity prices for its British customers on the standard variable tariff by 6 percent from Aug. 31, increasing the combined average annual dual fuel bill by 70 pounds.

EDF Energy, part of French utility EDF (EDF.PA), had already increased dual fuel prices on that tariff by 1.4 percent starting on June 7.
