LONDON (Reuters) - A technical issue briefly hit two data centres of the National Health Service (NHS) in Wales, the devolved Welsh administration said on Wednesday, with media reports suggesting that doctors had struggled to access patient records during the outage.
The cause of the incident remained unclear but there were no data security issues, it added in a statement.
“The NHS Wales Informatics Service have confirmed that all systems are now back although there may be a backlog affecting some areas,” it said. “They have assured us that there were no data security issues.
“The cause of the technical issue that affected two NHS Wales Data Centres remains under investigation.”
