Children's hospital worker suspended in porn probe

LONDON (Reuters) - A member of staff at a children’s hospital has been suspended after child pornography was found on a computer, police sources said on Friday.

The material was spotted during routine computer security monitoring for the local health board, NHS Lothian.

The worker has been suspended from the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh while police investigate.

Jim McCaffery, director of acute services and workforce, NHS Lothian, said: “A member of NHS Lothian staff has been excluded from work to allow a full and thorough examination of the allegations made.”

Lothian and Borders Police confirmed they were investigating the matter.
