UK police say shots fired in incident at U.S. military base, no staff injured

LONDON (Reuters) - British police said shots were fired by U.S. service personnel during an incident on Monday at a military base in central England used by the U.S. air force.

Police said a man was detained with cuts and bruises after being detained following the disturbance at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk, about 77 miles (124 km) northeast of London, but no other people were injured.
