LONDON (Reuters) - Police have arrested three people under anti-terrorism laws in the military town of Aldershot, Hampshire.
They were detained as part of an investigation into “domestic extremism,” a police spokesman said.
The inquiry focussed on people suspected of “being involved in criminal activity because of their extreme views.” The spokesman declined to elaborate. Police cordoned off two houses in the town for searches that are expected to take several days. Those held are two men, aged 25 and 26, and a 22-year-old woman.
