LONDON (Reuters) - Police have arrested three people on suspicion of murdering a pregnant 17-year-old, Greater Manchester Police said on Monday.
Police said they had arrested a 24-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy over the killing of Sana Ali in Bury.
A police spokeswoman declined to confirm media reports identifying the 24-year-old as Ali’s husband.
Later on Monday, police said they had also arrested a 22-year-old woman from Birmingham.
Ali, originally from Pakistan, was discovered at her home by her sister-in-law on Friday afternoon suffering from multiple knife wounds.
Police said she had been subjected to a “violent attack.”
She was rushed to hospital but medics were unable to save her and her unborn child.
A post mortem showed she had died from stab wounds to the chest and abdomen.
She was believed to have been two months’ pregnant.
