China, India seek fair settlement to border dispute, diplomat says

WUHAN, China (Reuters) - Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Kong Xuanyou said on Saturday China and India both seek a fair settlement to their border dispute, after an informal summit between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The two countries also agreed to enhance military and security communication mechanisms, Kong told reporters in the central Chinese city of Wuhan, where the Xi-Modi meeting took place.
